Band 4+: The graph below shows the average monthly change in the price of three metals during 2014.

This line chart displays the monthly variation of the copper, nickel and zink prices in 2014. Overall, the medium prices of these metal had slightly decrease over the period given, excluding Zinc. In January, Nickel was the material with the highest growing rate until February, when zinc took over it.

With regards to the change in copper’s price, it began at around 2 and then it had a downtrend, touching -0.5 in June. In the same period, the Nickle price variation collapsed, from +6 to -3. Between January and June, zinc was the only metal that registered a positive trend. In February, it tripled, after this event it plummeted to -1.

Finally, in the last 6 month all this material had a gradually upward. According to the graph, the nickel growth until +2 in December. Also nickel variation in price, slowly went up, reaching 1.5%; not to far from the initial value. At least Zinc, doubled the January’s rate, witnessed +2%.

At the end, all the metals reach a positive tax of price’s changing. Despite the downtrend that occur during the year.
