The graphs show the total percantage of different genre of films released and the total percentage of ticket sales in 1997 and 2006 in a country. Incluting Drama, Comedy, Fantasy and Romance.
Overall, it is evident that not only comedy is the most popular type of movie in the contry they have also seen a sharp incline in its release number. Followed by Drama who increased their number of realease sharply throughout the year. Fantasy had incline in both film realeased and ticket sales whereas Romance remain steady in number released but seen a decline in the ticket sales.
In 1996, Comedy had one fifth sales of the total cinematic industry and in 2006, that number increased by 3 percent. And for movie released, Comedy also had one fifth in 1996 but increased to a quarter in 2006. Romance and Fantasy have sold around 8 percent of the total tickets in the market in both 1996 and in 2006.
In summary, the data indicate a shift in the film industry’s focus over the decade, with Comedy rising in both production and audience preference, Drama films saw a reduction in production but maintained steady audience interest. And Fantasy and Romance remained minor genres in both film production and ticket sales.
