The given diagram represents the expenditure on three categories between different age groups of citizens in the UK in 2004.
Overall, we can see that the percentage of food and drink increases dramatically according to age and also achieved the peak at the age 76+. By contrast, the biggest number of restaurants and hotels were seen at under 30 age. And entertainment, in turn, hit the peak at 61-75 age.
Returning to the diagram, the number of food and drink rose marginally from 5% in the under 30 group to around 22% in the 76+ group, thus doubling its value.
Regarding restaurants and hotels the highest position was in the under 30 group, before it started to gradually decrease to around 13% in 31-45 and 46-60 groups, then the figure suddenly dropped to roughly 2% at the 61-75 years. However, the expenditure saw a minor growth to nearly 7% in the oldest group.
At the same time figure for entertainment experienced constantly growth from approximately 7% in the youngest group to slightly more than 20% in 61-75 years, but in 76+ group rapidly fall to between 10-15%
