The line graph depicts the proportion of the population from 1970 to 2040 in four different countries of Asia.

The graph indicates the greatest proportion of the population in Malaysia among the four countries. However, the percentage of the population was lowest in Indonesia from 1970 to 2000. In 1970 and 1990, the percentage of the population in Malaysia and the Philippines were nearly the same at 42%. In 2000, the proportion of the population in Indonesia and Thailand rose up to 25%, whereas in 2010, the Indonesian and Philippine populations grew to 40%.

Furthermore, the graph indicates that the percentage of the population will increase in 2030 and 2040. In Malaysia, the percentage of the population will increase between 70% and 80%, whereas in Indonesia, it will increase to 55%, respectively. Also, the proportion of the population in the Philippines will rise up to 45%, and in Thailand, up to 35% respectively.

To sum up, the graph shows that Malaysia will be ranked first among the four countries in growing population, whereas Indonesia will be second, the Philippines third, and Thailand will be last.
