In recent years, the internet has had a strong effect on how educational lessons are delivered. Although some people believe the internet has done more harm than good to the learning experience, I would argue that it has contributed in a positive way. In this essay, I will discuss the reasons behind my opinion.
On the one hand, those who believe that the internet’s impact is a drawback might argue that instructors lack accreditation. This is because many course providers do not have either the minimum qualifications or the experience to deliver these lessons. For example, some learners report that they had to take an online preparatory course for professional certification. However, after finishing the course, they realized that they did not even have the basic skills to get the certificate. This is simply because it turned out that the course instructor lacked proper credentials in the subject he was teaching.
On the other hand, my view is that this impact has numerous benefits. One significant advantage is the accessibility of learning materials, which allows individuals to access educational courses from anywhere in the world. For example, if a student cannot attend school due to health-related issues, they can use online courses as an alternative to on-campus lessons. In contrast, if they did not have the ability to access them from home, they might fall behind their peers academically.
In conclusion, despite the concerns about the lack of accreditation some online courses have, it is my firm belief that this development has a major positive effect on the learning experience.
