Nowadays, the internet is increasingly developing, leading to transformed lives, economies and turning the world into a global village. While it is true that extensive connectivity has fostered new developments or common things , I disagree that it can make everyone think and behave in the same way.
On the one hand, the internet causes people to behave and think in somewhat similar ways. Through global social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Netflix pop culture is spread to every part of the world. Consequently, people who use the internet, especially younger generations, they often consume the same media, following the same trends and sometimes emulating the lifestyles of other countries. Besides, thanks to the internet, the economy and consumption are also influenced by online advertising campaigns. For example, the major companies such as Apple, have very strong marketing programs and launch a new product every year. So it encourages customers to act in the same way as following trends and buying their new products.
On the other hand, the internet does not entirely lead people to take identical actions. Cultural and religious values are deeply entrenched in societies and passed down through generations. For instance, meanwhile in East Asian countries families tend to be very close-knit, and parents usually look after their children, but in Western countries they often encourage their child to become independent early. In addition, instead of dissolved, every country also tries to absorb popular culture and promote the culture of one’s own country, and from there intellectual diversity is increasingly valued.
In conclusion, while the internet has created a more interconnected worđ, it also cannot entirely homogenize human nature
