Band 6+: the large number of private cars on the roads in many parts of the world has led to serious problems of pollution and may contribute to global warming. some people think that governments should spend money for the development of public transportation systems in order to help solve this problem. other think it is better to spend money for the development of electric and other types of cars that may cause less pollution

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

The rise is number of vehicles on road has led to an increase in environmental pollution around the world. This is because vehicles emit carbon dioxide, which is the major cause of global warming as well as pollution. Some people suggest that heavier investment should be made in the public transportation system, while I personally believe that investing in electric vehicles would be a better option.

In my view, electric cars are the future of the world. In the long run, these types of vehicles would benefit the earth. Since these cars do not need fuel to run, and are run from batteries, they will not release carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, which will result in lesser pollution and in addition, this technology will help in preserving the non-renewable resources as well. Since electricity can be generated with numerous renewable ways, charging these vehicles will not be a problem. People can travel with their family on long routes using this technology.

Increasing the number of public vehicles can be an alternative as well. Since this initiative will help to reduce pollution, but in addition will lower the cost of travelling. Huge masses can travel by a public vehicle at once, and can cover long distances as well. This will reduce the number of private vehicles on road, which in turn will reduce the emission of toxic gases. More number of people can consider this mode of transportation for their daily routine. The only fault in this method is that there will be lack of privacy in this means.

In conclusion, electric cars would be a better development, as it will not pollute the environment because they run on batteries and people can use them privately as well. Whereas, introduction of more public vehicles can benefit the day-to-day routine of people without causing much damage to the nature.
