In contemporary times, Development of large metropolises are growing rapidly. Therefore, this growth linear by a ton of problems that have a significant impact on the lives of young generation. Even though there are some crucial issue, several possible solution can be performed to help reduce the situation.
Main critical issue might arise from the on going development of cities over the world. Firstly, young generation face the significant rise in traffic jamming. This cause frustration and long time for commuting. Moreover, it also triggers to increase the level of pollution cause by exhaust gases from vehicle. For instance, in Jakarta, young people must be spend more time while they attend to office or school which reduce productivity. Another problem is significant increasing crime level. For example, Palembang ranked in top three for crimes, which stimulate a sense of insecurity and anxiety for community.
To address this issue, firstly, the government should invest more in public service, especially in public transportation infrastructure, such as establish toll road and expanding line of commuter rail. It can reduce traffic congestion and carbon emission. Secondly, government provide training course to improve people employability. This means that young generation have practical skills and knowledge relevant to the labour market, it may create opportunities for positive growth and minimize crime level.
In conclusion, there are some problems due to from the fast growth of urban areas, including traffic jams and the high rate of crime. However, investment in transportation infrastructure, expand line of commuter line and provide training development program can help reduce these problems.
