Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

News is one of the important mode of communication which gathers information from all over the world and provides us knowledge of what is happening around us. There is no doubt true that now a days the major content of news broadcasted is about wars, accidents, droughts and other illegal activities . This essay looks at some of the reasons behind this and provide my opinion followed by the conclusion.

The factors contributing to the delivering of mostly bad news through various news channels stems from the consumers itself. Precisely, these days people want to listen or watch news content which is fully contaminated with bad stuff. Moreover, we all belong to the “third world country” era where worlds politics is changing from democracy to dictatorship. People are fighting for there rights and some are indulge in criminal activities for some or the other reasons. To elucidate , many news channels take advantage of showing bad news to make more money and gain TRP. For instance, most of the news channels are focusing on what is happening in united states and captures more criminal activities occurring there. Therefore, people watch more videos on crimes like murders , rapes and political abuse and that what is more broadcasted by news channels as per the demand of public.

To address the concentration of news with negative things a multifaceted approach is required from both public as well as government . I firmly believe that news should follow a balance between good news and bad news before broadcasting on various channels. To explain further, if there will be both good news and bad news people will get knowledge of what is exactly happening around them. They will stream for good news too to get some benefit and in this way their brains will be less contaminated with negative things . Additionally, listening to good news they will follow right paths in their life and will automatically avoid getting indulge in illegal activities . For example, the famous ice hockey player Luke Huges says in his interview that he got influenced by an article printed in the news paper by a popular Greek hockey player. As a result , when people read or watch good contents like this, eventually there will be less criminal activites to read or watch.

In conclusion, broadcasting only bad news will cause some detrimental effects on people’s mind that can give rise to many illegal activities. In my opinion , a balance approach taken by news companies in releasing both positive and negative news can help to provide right ratio information to the public. In addition to this, with some strict action taken by the government can also help to curb this problem.
