Band 6+: The money given to help poor countries does not solve the problem of poverty, so rich countries should give other types of help instead. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

At present, some individuals believe that the money given to help poor nations does not resolve the problem of poverty and wealthy countries should give other kinds of help instead. In my opinion, money could eliminate poverty if it might be invested in education and agriculture.

First of all, money is likely to solve the problem of poverty if it could be paid for education. The grant money which will universalize education to the general population can be used to construct more schools and provide fees for poor students. When these nations have a more educated population, it will be able to create a more productive workforce. Highly qualified labor may contribute to economic development. For instance, Angola has been successful in using grant money from the US to invest in building public and private schools and increasing the standard of living of inhabitants.

Money will find the solution to poverty if it could be invested in agriculture. In other words, the government could use grant money to improve soil or install irrigation system and buy more seeds, these activities will boost agricultural production. Having plenty of rations could help the inhabitants have enough food and clean water to drink. In the crop of high quality, citizens may even have a food surplus to export to other countries, thereby generating additional income for individuals as well as income taxes for the government. For example, Nigeria used World Bank subsidies to buy rice and potato seeds, thus helping reduce the occurrence of famine.

In conclusion, money is one of the solutions that can resolve the problem of poverty. Therefore, the government might apply money for education and agriculture to improve the quality of inhabitants’life.

The money given to help poor countries does not solve the problem of poverty, so rich countries should give other types of help instead. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

There is a view that well-off countries should provide poorer countries with other types of opportunities to resolve their issues rather than allocating money itself. While some people oppose this notion since less better-off nations boost economic growth by gaining financial aid, I strongly argue in favor. Admittedly, in order to remedy the situation of […]

Many feel that foreign aid cannot address poverty in underdeveloped countries, and therefore, there should be more viable measures. In my opinion, although money cannot eliminate poverty completely, financial support is largely effective if it is invested in education and agriculture. To begin with, sponsorships coming from developed nations can be allocated in education to […]

The money given to help poor countries does not solve the problem of poverty, so rich countries should give other types of help instead. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Less-developed countries don’t tackle financial issues by receiving money from richer ones; developed nations should aid them by means of others. From my perspective, money can eradicate poverty if it is invested in education and agriculture. Money can solve the problem of poverty when rich countries put money into the education systems of poor nations. […]

In many urban areas, planners tend to arrange shops, schools, offices, and homes in specific areas and separate them from one another. Do the benefits of this trend outweigh its drawbacks?

In numerous urban areas, city planners often adopt zoning policies that separate shops, schools, offices and homes into distinct districts rather than integrating them into a single mixed-use area. Even though this policy may seem to create unnecessary distance between different aspects of daily life, its advantages must be considered more relevant. As opposed to […]

A "cashless society" is one where people use debit/credit cards and other forms of payment instead of cash. Do the advantages of a cashless society outweigh the disadvantages?

Many countries are increasingly adopting cashless payment systems, with electronic transactions gradually replacing physical currency. Although this development may create some drawbacks, I believe that the advantages of cashless payment outweigh the disadvantages because they are more convenience, secure and efficient. One major advantage of cashless payments is convenience. People can make purchases using smartphones, […]
