A generation ago, food shortages by war-torn countries made underweight a far more challenging issue. However, in many parts of the world, the amount of obesity is rising more and more today. This essay will look at the reasons for this and propose some solutions.
One of the main causes of the problem is that most people who do not eat a healthy diet consume too many fats and unhealthy meals. Many people pick fast food like hamburgers and fried chicken because their jobs require them to finish their meals quickly. For this reason, fast food stores popping up everywhere. In America, for example, there are many fast food establishments such as McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC,… The solutions is for each individual to manage their time appropriately to avoid skipping meals, cut food intake, or change their diet accordingly, try diets such as eat clean, fewer calories and more vegetables. As a result, people may control their weight, muscle mass, and body fat which will improve their figure and keep they healthy.
Another problem is that people nowadays are quite lazy and do not regularly due to fat accumulation causing obesity. As I’ve mentioned before, many people do not have the time and necessary equipment to exercise because of the nature of their jobs. To tackle this issue, change is required from both the government and the people. The government needs to set overtime limitations. Every individual needs to make for exercise, increase their physical activity, prevent sitting or lying down right after eating, and ideally exercise three times a week. Consequently, this speeds up metabolism and daily calorie burn, which burns fat leads to a healthier and slimmer body.
To sum up, overweight has become a much more difficult problem in many countries, due to reasons such as the health diet and the regular exercising. This is a serious problem, and unless people can control their own time and activities, the obesity will be resolved.
