It is a common belief that the decision not to have children affects to the societies negatively. However, there is a more persuasive argument that it can be considered to be a positive decision because better education and childcare options and can reduce economic burden for parents.
On the one hand, some people argues that not to have children is negative for societies because the job market will lack of workforce. For instance, many conglomerates will struggle with employments due to the deficiency in young workers and they have to employ older workers who are less productive. As a consequence, the productivity in many companies will be reduced and make the economy of countries worse. Therefore, it is a adverse impact on societies.
Nevertheless, societies can be received countless advantages from this decision. Firstly, societies and government can supply better education and childcare options since the funds available to a society are limited, providing sufficient childcare and education becomes difficult when there are more children. Korea is a typical example, the birth rate in Korea was the lowest among countries in the world so authorities in this country can allocate money to build quality schools rather than building to much with lower quality and this country was rated as the leading country in education quality. Secondly, it can reduce the economic burden for parents, without responsibility to bring up children, they can save money to buy a house and use that money for themselves. According to a recent survey, many parents in New York said that they felt better when they did not have children and they could travel around the world with that money. For these reasons, it will make our society better and improve our life.
To sum up, while there are some disadvantages of not having children, it is evident that it will improve societies substantially.
