Nowadays car accidents are increasing day to day and there are several ways to prevent this phenomenon. The first and foremost way to this aim is penalizing criminals by the police. Some people believe these penalties are not enough and police should increase the amount of these punishments. I partially agree with this opinion because of its impact on decreasing dangers.
Some individuals believe that raising fines is the best way to improve road safety because most drivers don’t have enough money to pay heavy fines and this leads to paying more attention to driving rules and the result will be increased road safety. From their perspective, in addition to enhancement fines, some other penalties such as arresting the offending driver or transferring the car to the police parking for several days could be helpful in this regard.
On the contrary, some others claim that increasing penalties is not the only way to improve road security. In their point of view, governments should allocate more budgets in various sections to improve road safety. One of these sections is the training part and governments must use TV programs, as well as social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp to improve drivers’ acknowledgments of the consequences of dangerous driving. Another section that requires more attention and a high amount of budget is the infrastructure sector which can help to construct some roads with high security.
In conclusion, although there are a lot of ways to improve road safety such as rising drivers’ information and investing in infrastructures, it seems that the best way in this regard is stricter punishments.
