In today’s world, reducing the need for individuals to commute between home and work as well as shopping and education is just a option to mitigate the traffic in big urban areas. From my point of view, people’s travel cannot be considered the only excuse for traffic, and other reasons are listed below.
The increasing number of people engender new issues in urban areas as traffic which arises from a chaotic road structure and a deficiency in size of roads that limit continuity of travel. For example, in Azerbaijan, the peak hours of traffic are known as between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. which resulting in a higher volume of cars and motorcycles at a certain time. That’s why reducing their need to go to other places might result in reducing the amount of traffic.
Therefore, in my view, the solution to traffic involves adequate policy to continuously upgrade the system of public transportation. When people being exhausted about using car while peak hours of traffic, public transportation’s presence seem as an effortless way by people. For example, people who travel to work at 7:00 a.m. by bus have more chances to reach destination in time than people who prefer to use their own car because the presence of bus line in the road facilitate the traffic issue.
In conclusion, while restricting people’s ability to use their own cars in order to diminish traffic, the rood problems can be shade off. Once the government deal with the construction of roads which people utilize almost every day have effect on some consequences that society can take public transportation, and their own cars comfortably.
