Six pie charts are presented below that surveyed different countries in Europe to show various languages spoken by students. They are listed in percentages and shown based on how many languages a specific country speaks: One language, two languages, three languages, and lastly more than three languages.
The countries that were surveyed are: the United Kingdom, Germany, Romania, Ukraine, Luxembourg, and France. Overall, it is evident that 2 out of the 6 European countries mostly communicate in one language; those countries being the United Kingdom and France. However, France has a higher rate of students speaking two languages at around 25% and the United Kingdom at around 5%-10%; they both speak around a similar rate when it comes to speaking three languages. Consequently, Germany, Romania, Ukraine, and Luxembourg students communicate more in two languages as evident in the graphs; they fluctuate at around 35% in Romania and Luxembourg to a skyrocketing percentage right above 50% in Germany and Ukraine. Additionally, Romania, Germany, France, and Luxembourg have a similar percentage of students speaking more than 3 languages; that is more than the percentages of the UK and Ukraine combined.
Overall, it is clear that Ukraine and Germany have the highest percentage of students speaking two languages; the UK having the most students speaking 1 and finally, France with the greatest number of students speaking more than three languages.
