The percentage of money spent on food in Japan was 24%, which is similar to that in Malaysia, at 27%.
Transport made up for 20% of japan, meanwhile, it only accounted for 10% in malaysia. Proportion in healthcare in both countries was the lowest, at 6% and 3% respectively. Besides, other goods and services accounted for 29% of average spending in Japan and 26% of the household budget was spent on this in malaysia.
