Band 6+: The position of women has changed a great deal in societies over the past 50 years. But these societies cannot claim to have achieved gender equality.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Over the past fifty years, The role of women in societies has changed a lot. I believe that many societies have achieved gender equality because women now have the chance to study, work, and have the same rights as men have. And, they now have access to education, and working, which means they can take responsibilities.

First of all, women can study in all areas of studies like medicine, engineering, business, humanities, IT, and so on. Women now can even persue the furthure higher education. In some countries, women can become scientists, military officers, and even political leaders, which means they have the ability to bring benefits to the society, and make the society better.

Secondly, women now can get higher positions in some workplaces. Over the past decades, women were not allowed to work and earn money. Their roles were just to stay at home, take care of children, and do household chores. However, women nowadays can manage and lead organizatons or companies, depending on their performances and skillsets.

In addition, women now share duties with men. In some environments, men do tasks and household chores, while women work for their families. This change shows that societies accept gender equality not only in workplaces. Gender equality is also accepted in daily life.

In conclusion, gender equality has been achieved in numerous societies. Women are respected equally nowadays. Women now can choose their education, professions, and lifestyle freely.
