In general, it is obvious that the upward trend was displayed in the total number of oversea visitors between 1990 and 2005. Furthermore, Europe surpassed all other continents to stand the first over the time frame whereas the continent with the lowest ones was Middle East.
Initially, totally, there were nearly 449 million international tourists in 1990, which increased considerably to 693.7 million at the end of period. when it comes to Europe, it overweighed all remaining continents to set the first place, occupying more than half of the total number of worldwide tourists.
After that, the second and third position respectively belong to Asia and the Pacific and America. The former started with nearly 60 million in 1990, which was lower than the firgues of America but in the end of time frame, Asia and the Pacific increased more drammatic at 135 million. Africa and Middle East has the lowest number of international tourists, specifically the combine of two continents was nearly a half of the amount of Europe during the time frame.
