It is suggested that the most valuable task for businesses is increasing their budget and not paying attention to social aspects. This essay definitely does not agree with this statement because ignoring social needs can have such consequences as dropping productivity, losing of public trust and decreasing earnings.
Firstly, having corporate social responsibilities is a part of a business’ strategy and reputation. If a company can not provide good working conditions people will leave it and search for other opportunities. Especially it will affects on young generation which make up the biggest percent on market. It means businesses would spend more money on the hiring process and lose time on interviews. For example, many people choose to prioritize their mental health and give preference to job with comfortable conditions than to earn more money and spend its on a psychologist.
Secondly, it is also important to note that businesses need to pay attention to ecology issues. If companies pollute the environment people can protest and it brings reputational risks. As a result businesses suffer from fees, compensation and long-term legal processes.
In conclusion, business is a part of a community, not just an isolated mechanism. If it focuses only on making money and ignores social responsibilities it will lose their reputation and be ruined. That is why it is really important to pay attention to social aspects.
