Nowadays mobile phones have been associated with smoking due to antisocial functions that occur as usage side effects. There are many policies that are regulated as well to minimize the side effects of smoking and even banned the activities, but can we do the same thing to treat mobile phone effects?
Firstly, antisocial acts are a condition where a group or an individual tend to be oblivious to other people’s feelings and needs. Antisocial conditions can lead people to hurting each other and end up as social issues. Recently, Psychology United published research related to mobile phones with the increase of bystander effects in modern society. The research depicts that in difficult situations 10% of respondents choose to not care, 23% of them tend to stay away from trouble, and 67% will stay and put their camera phone on to record the situation. In the final conclusion of the research, people prefer to tie in their phone capture moment, whether it is a bad or good moment, than interact with reality. In situations that mentioned earlier, it could be a death of sympathy which leads to antisocial behavior.
