In the fast-paced life, using social media has become more prevalent, so it comes as no surprise that virtual communication is replacing face-to-face for human in their lives. In my opinion, the benefits of using them outweigh the drawbacks.
In terms of the disadvantages, the overuse of social media also comes along with many negative impacts on the public. Firstly, they affect people’s health, especially their eyes. For instance, many people are so addicted to social media like: Facebook or Twitter. Furthermore, they constantly stare at their screens during several times. Secondly, spending too much time in contact with social platforms will reduce interpersonal skills in actually. To cite an example, children pay attention to virtual communication on social media without observing the people around them.
Despite minor drawbacks, several advantages result from using social media to communicate. First of all, due to the wide range of social media, it has become a crucial means of business as well as provides career opportunities for many people. Companies can update their goods and production on social platforms. Customers can also easily buy them through virtual communication. Besides, social media can assist unemployed people in finding a new job such as shipping. Moreover, social networking sites have made it much easier for us to keep in touch with our loved ones. Namely, students especially people who are studying abroad can use Zalo or Messenger to contact their families and friends.
