Declaring today’s world a safer place remains a contentious statement. It is believed by many that the world is a safer and peaceful place to live and the need to spend heavily on armed forces has diminished with time. but this can not be completely true as the todays world depicts the opposite.
The world peace concept has been built to create an illusion in the mind of young generation, while reality is much more complex and opposite. With growing technology, the world has become more like a global village where at one hand connections are made smoothly, and on the other hands safety concerns are overlooked.
Today’s world comprises of different nations, with each nations having different aims and objectives. Ruling the world remains the top most priority of every nation, hence they end up competing for the excellence. This desires to be the only super power in the world depends on the power of the armed force. In order to achieve and fulfill this desire they completely rely on their armed forces. For example, The United States of America attacked Iraq to acquire the oil and prove itself to be the greatest super power of the world. it only succeeded because its highly trained armed force which is crowned to be top most powerful army of the world.
I completely disagree with the statement given above. I believe that the integrity and strength of the nation solely depends on the strength of is armed forces. because they protect the nation and let its people live peacefully otherwise this world would have become a warzone.
