It is commonly believed that numerous reasons galvanize people to remain in a particular organization for work, of which financial benefit is the most significant of them all. This essay strongly disagree with the aforementioned assertion because job satisfaction and a sense of belonging play major roles.
One compelling reason for being commited at work for years is job satisfaction. This is because the presence of advanced technological equipments such as analyzers improves efficiency, decreases stress which leads to high performance and productivity. Furthermore, a conducive environment which is well furnished with appropriate workplace necessities such as air conditioners, lighting and computer systems enables one to feel like its home and keeps them excited about their work. For example, A recent survey conducted by Professor Shooh Carty at University of Greenwich observed that Job satisfaction is the major reason why people remain comfortable in a certain workplace for over 10years.
Another pivotal reason is a sense of belonging. This is because people prefer to work in a respectful atmosphere where they are viewed as team members, their ideas and suggestions are listened to in general meetings and sometimes implemented by the management after enough scrutiny. Moreover, they can be rewarded and promoted for their input in the growth and development of the organisation of which they would experience a sense of belonging even if their duty were to merely clean the floor or open the main gate on a daily basis. For instance, a security guard which is respected and seen as a team member is more likely to remain in his job for years than one that is treated with disdain.
Nonetheless, some may agrue that more money enhances their bargaining power and enables them to meet their individualistic needs but this essay divert from the aforementioned statement.
In conclusion, while many people choose financial gains over other justifiable reasons to remain in their work, this essay disagrees with the above statement because Job satisfaction and a sense of inclusion are more important.
