## Nowadays, with the breakthrough of technology industry, mobile phones have become an indispensable part of life. However, some believe that the use of mobile phones have played a major role in causing social, medical and technical problems. Even so, it is undeniable that mobile phones have brought numerous benefits to human life despite its arguable drawbacks.

On the one hand, it is clear that using phones have improved the way people live and also played a vital role in many aspects of life. One of the main benefit of mobile phone is the ease of communication since it is now easier and faster to communicate by phone. For instance, mobile phones allow one to connect with loved ones, friends, colleagues across vast distances. Breaking the geographical barrier with the feature of text message, voice call or even video chat so people don’t have to meet face to face or write a letter for communication purpose anymore. Beyond that, mobile phones also provide a powerful tools for searching information and is to are used as a way of entertainment. To illustrate this point, students can use phones to acquire knowledge or information on various topics for learning purposes. Not only that, phone is a source of unlimited entertainment with its innovative functions such as watching movie, playing games or social networking and furthermore.

On the other hand, there are drawbacks and several problems caused by using mobile phones that cannot be ignored. One of the biggest issue is a phenomenon called phone addiction which occurs mostly among the young people. Some cannot take their eyes off the phone which leads them on the way of becoming a “smombie”. Phone addiction can not only affects one’s social life but also has a significant impact on mental health. For example, using too much mobile phone can leads to many health problems such as anxiety, depression and lack of sleep. Likewise, it reduces physical activity and face to face interaction which lead to the lack of social communication and social matters.

By way of a conclusion, mobile phones have become a vital tool in the daily life. Despite having its substantial downsides, mobile phone also has multiple noticeable benefits that can overweight the negatives. What important is the users need to acknowledge the pros and cons to use the phone reasonably.
