In modern times, many individuals assert that there is unnecessary to go out for live performances, such as concerts, plays thanks to new technologies like TV or computer. I partly agree with this viewpoint, as watching from home is more convenient, but the real atmosphere of live show can not be replaced.
On the one hand, watching concerts or performances on screen save a lot of time and money. People do not need to travel long distances or buy expensive tickets. For instance, many singers and theatres now broadcast their shows online, so everyone can enjoy them without leaving the house. This is especially useful for busy workers or people who live in small towns where no concerts are held. Moreover, at home people can relax on their sofa, have snacks, and control the sound or video as they want.
On the other hand, live performances give a unique experience that technology can’t completely replace. When you are in the same place with the artist, you can feel the real energy and emotion of the show. The sound, the lights and the reaction of the audience make the atmosphere more powerful and unforgettable. Nevertheless, attending such events helps people socialise and share their feelings with others, which can not be done in front of a screen.
In conclusion, even though watching performances on TV or computer is easier and cheaper, I believe going to live shows is still vital. The real atmosphere and connection with the performers make it a much more memorable experience.
