Noise pollution is too much prevalent in numerous public areas in urban settings. This essay will discuss the main causes of this problem and suggest some solutions.
There are several underlying factors that contribute to this issue. One of the major causes of noise pollution is that increasing urbanization in cities. Many people are being migrated from rural areas to urban areas for a better lifestyle. As a result, more and more buildings are being constructed even without the permission of the local authority. Due to construction work, noise pollution is increasing in cities. Another contributing factor is that unnecessary sounds from vehicle can cause noise pollution. Most of the transports do not maintain the rules and regulations in relation to traffics and they simply neglect this. For instance, in Bangladesh, the capital city of Dhaka, we can see noise pollution because the drivers do not maintain the rules. Lastly, in cities public gatherings also causes noise pollution. For example, heavy sounds from concerts, islamic mahfil, protest against particular issues etc. can cause more noises.
Several effective measures can be undertaken to resolve this issue. Firstly, government should take effective steps to developed green urban spaces around the cities. In addition, the local authority should organize awareness campaigns so that the drivers cannot violate the traffic rules. Finally, government should initiate various steps so that people should maintain particular place for gatherings that will not cause any noises.
In conclusion, the issue of noise pollution is largely due to increasing urbanization, violating traffic rules, and public gatherings.
