The technology has become increasingly popular in recent years, especially in areas like online shopping, remote work and communication through videocalls, facetime and other social media platforms. While internet has undoubtedly revolutionised many aspects of life, it also has few drawbacks that worth considering. In this essay, I will discuss both the advantages and disadvantages of this development and argue whether the benefits outweigh the drawbacks.
Firstly, internet is a life-changing invention. There are numbers of online websites and applications availabe for online purchasing, and delivery is often occuring within a few days. Furthermore, it has become essential for work related online meetings and projects. For example, internet was blessing during covid pandemic, as work from home would not have been possible without it. In addition, online technology has made the communication very easy and fast to any part of the world. For instance, through videocall, we can talk and see our relatives or friends overseas, without face to face meeting.
On the other hand, internet has some disadvantages as well, such as, cost, poor connections, maintanance, and addiction of the technology. In detail, everything is readily available online, as a result, people are buying unnecessory items too. Due to many devices and extreme usage of the network, sometimes many has to face issue with the poor connections. Additionally, people specially youger generation is so addicted to the technology, that they do not provide proper attention to study or work.
To conclude, although internet is useful in many ways, it also affect person’s life, if it is not handled with care. Moreover, benefits of the development outweigh the challenges.
