There is an argument about whether puzzles, board games, and pictures can increase the development in children or not. From my point of view, they have a gigantic role on the development of children since they learn how to solve a problem and they improve their brain by thinking.
First of all, games like chess, puzzles, and board games are related to a problem, and a child should solve it to be successful. This increases their problem-solving skills by forcing them to approach from a different view, besides, they use their creativity. This is a key point in the development of a child in the light of the fact that they will use those skills in their entire lives.
Moreover, by making them think by forcing them to solve puzzles, the number of nerves n their brain will increase and this situation leads to thinking more expand than previous ones. Providing that parents make their children work on a puzzle, children will be more successful in their lessons and in their jobs owing to creative thinking.
In addition, I would force my child play chess because chess increases creative thinking, fore thinking and patience which are crucial skills for children. Moreover, chess makes people plan and calculate all of the possible moves that the opponent can make therefore, it improves plan making.
Overall; puzzles, chess, and board games are essential for children in order to develop their problem-solving, plan making, creativity, fore thinking and patience skills, besides, they encourage them to think which is important in their lifes
