Some people argue that physical exercises should not be prioritized in educational environment in order to enhance students’ learning effectiveness. In this essay, I will express my disagreement with this idea by highlighting the inevitable part of sports in shaping a well-rounded development for children.
Proponents of this opinion might champion the necessity of theoretical learning in improving students’ academic results. Uncertainties cannot be made about this idea since enhancements in scores tend to stem from self-consistence and hard-working to acquire proficiency in a number of subjects. However, they often fail to mention that higher academic performance cannot completely represent the success of education. The aim of education, especially in educating children is to provide students with the growth in both physical, mental and academic aspects, which means that the dominance of theoretical lessons in schedules may bring about more drawbacks such as learners’ vulnerability in health compared to the benefits.
On the other hand, there are some compelling reasons why school should not restrict sporting activity. The first point is that physical workout may be of importance to promote children’s health conditions. This is mainly because some sport games like football or badminton, which are popular among students, might have a great contribution to high-functioning metabolism and muscle growth. In contrast, the lack of these activities can be they key factor leading to major diseases like cardiovascular disease and obesity. Another worth-mentioning reason is that physical exercises might effectively boost students’ positivity. By attending in sporting exercises, children are enable to gain confidence and competitiveness, which may serve as a sense of motivation to obtain higher academic outcomes.
In conclusion, while there are some arguments about the limitation of physical activities in educational systems, I am convinced that these actions of restriction should not be implemented as sport workout plays an indispensable role in forming a well-rounded education.
