In this day and age in many nations all the genders work full- time and it is believed that both men and women should fairly divide household chores equally. I agree with the aforesaid nation to a large extent for various reasons which are put forth.
To embark upon, both male and females should strike a balance between their personal and professional life evenly. In fact, after equally distributing the house chores one can have some spare time for themselves, which one can use to rejuvenate, pursue hobbies and doing recreational activities. In India, for example, a significant proportion of couples share domestic responsibilities, which enable working people to join gym and fitness centre after their hectic job. As a result, for achieving a healthy lifestyle and relationship it is crucial to divide house tasks equally. Additionally, both parents performing house chores equally leads to better upbringing and nurturing of their children. In fact, a child develop his behavior by observing the environment of his family, if the male member of the family helps the female in tasks such as cooking or cleaning the child learn to challenge traditional gender stereotypes. Thus, the child grows up to be a responsible human, who believes in gender equality.
On the flip side, sharing tasks equally can be ineffective and inefficient. To elaborate, certain domestic tasks or activities require some experience or skill to perform, which if done by inexperienced person may lead to damage or can be time consuming. To exemplify, washing clothes can be an arduous task for someone who do not have enough knowledge about clothing detergent and washing process, which may lead to untidy clothes. As a result, a rigid decision of distributing tasks equally can be detrimental when it comes to doing chores that one has no previous experience in it.
To conclude, although performing tasks without having appropriate knowledge may lead to damage, I believe it is crucial for couples to distribute tasks equally as it lead to more supportive relationship and less conflicts.
