These days, a lot of people are visiting places that have extreme weather such as the Sahara or the Antarctic. In this essay, I will outlay the advantages and drawbacks of tourists for visiting these places.
First and foremost, the main benefit of visiting either the Sahara desert or Antarctic is the visitors are able to see the extraordinary scenery through their own eyes, which they have never experienced before in their country. In addition to getting to see the other side of the world, by travelling to such places, they also get to meet new people from different backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs. With these they can be more open minded and have high tolerance towards others.
However, the drawback of having vacation in those places is they can be exposed to certain viruses, such as Hepatitis B or Influenza. Therefore, it is the tourist’s responsibility to keep their body fit and healthy upon arrival and leaving the country. This can be anticipated by getting a medical check up and an immunisation before their departure. Moreover, in returning to the home country, each of them has to comply with the immigration’s rules if the quarantine is required in order to prevent the infection of local citizens.
To conclude, there are advantages and disadvantages of visiting extreme places. Although it is a ‘one-life’ opportunity to explore such places, every tourist has to bear the risks while travelling and has to comply with the immigration rule in returning to their home country.
