In today’s world, the majority of people tend to buy much more products than the previous generation. In this essay, I will discuss the positives and negatives sides of this trend. Firstly, I will weigh up the benefit of buying more consumer goods in terms of how they impact people’s lives, and secondly, I will explain the shortcoming of this statement, including maintain about this behaviour turns into the habit.

On the one hand, in the present, we have opportunties to having what we want easily, and there are also the plenty of options. This statement leads to buy more consumer goods. Some people prefer to spend money for jewelry, and this statement is seem to them like an investment for their future instead of buying worthless things. Especially, this trend is really common in Turkey, and this society prefer to turn their money into gold. Apart from this, the majority of people enjoy to having up-to-date household appliances due to the fact that they believe these appliances makes their life easier. For example, we can see that how new technology vocuum cleaner beneficial for our lives, and many human being just put to buttoms instead of using it by their hands.

On the other hand, it is true that we have more options about what we want to buy such as, jewelry, technological items, or decorative goods. As a result of this statement, sometimes we struggle about the decide what we would like to buy, and we buy more than one item even though we do not need them. Even this undecisions turns into a habit, and we have much more as the time passed. As a result of this issues, the majority of human beings struggle about the find place at home for them. Apart from this, a great number of people spend their income for clothes, unworthless things without thinking their future lives. It should not unforgattable that in the future, many people cannot work and if they want to be wealthy life about thirty years later, they should save their money and make invesment.

In conclusion, it is a fact that we have much more objects than we need, and this statement leads to many drawbacks more than benefits as I mentioned above.
