Nowadays, it is considered as people can learn about the culture and traditions of foreign countries by using internet, it is not necessary to visit to other countries to learn culture. I completely disagree with this point of view because there is no alternative to learn in-depth knowledge and understanding without face to face observation.
There are a number of compelling reasons why I believe that visiting to a country is the most significant one to learn about culture and lifestyle. First and foremost, learning about a culture through real life experience and watching from online videos and documentaries are totally different. When people visit any country, they can experience in a multiple ways. To illustrate, they can meet with new people, they can travel different places, and they can also try different local cuisines, which are completely impossible to learn using internet. In addition, through visiting foreign countries, travelers can enjoy stunning landscape and breathtaking natural view with observing actual lifestyles of human, which absent in videos or online platform. Moreover, people may not internalize human struggle and challenging situations from online media. So, in that context, travelling is the most prominent way to understand them.
Furthermore, there are some nuances in any culture, which does not expose because the internet represent a specific and a small amount of information. This information is not enough for broadening scrutinize knowledge about a culture. For example, when researchers conduct any study about human subjects and culture and lifestyle, they do not rely on internet to write report and present information rather than they collect face to face data from the respondents through visiting them.
In conclusion, from my perspective, although the internet help to learn basic knowledge about the culture and lifestyle, I believe that travelling to other countries is the most effective medium to learn foreign culture.
