In contrast, most of them suffer from stress and depression. This is mainly caused by loneliness driven by individualist traits and excessive expectations from social media. However, it can be adressed by building communities with people with same interest and limiting social media exposure.

Most of young adult these days are likely to live by their own and have less connection with society. Netizen will always show their best side or even fake things on social media, set high and unrealistic standards that believed by audiences. As a result, the young people will never feel enough by things they achieved, but continue to seek approval from social media.

To adress this issue, people should start to build community to help them socialize. By bonding with real people in real world, this can mitigate the loneliness and lead to healthy society. Communities also can help real problem they experienced, as young people can be friends with elderly who will be very fond to give them useful advice. At the same time, the youth should manage their time to dive in social media. This self regulation will help them to limit the exposure and give them time to focus on themselves. By relying on their own self, it will help them to regulate what can influence them and what is not. Consequently, young generation will build self-confidence and be more grateful of what they have.

In conclusion, the increase of unhappiness in young adult is mainly caused by loneliness in society and excessive expectation driven by social media. However, this can be measured by building helpful communities and self regulation on social media exposure.
