It is a concerning reality that living less happily despite having a desired life among young generations has become increasingly prevalent in recent years. While there are several underlying factors contributing to this phenomenon, I firmly believe that certain effective measures can be implemented to alleviate the situation.
The root causes of this issue are multifaceted, primarily stem from the lack of progression in life and the lost of social interaction. Regarding the former factor, challenges, which are thought to be negative are indeed indispensable in bringing sense of fulfilment to people. To explain further, it is obvious that overcoming tough situations brings people much more satisfaction than finishing tasks that are easy to handle. Hence, those who have plenty of achievements at a young stage find themselves having such few goals to obtain, which leads to a sense of emptiness and unhappiness. Furthermore, this problem is exacerbated by the youth sacrificing relationships for their career ladder. Consequently, by the time they achieve their goals in life, they fall in to deep loneliness and suffer from a sense of isolation.
However, to effectively tackle this issue, a multi-pronged approach must be adopted. The most immediate solution would be for them to seek for more challenges such as trying their hands in different sports. By doing so, they would feel they have targets to manage and thus, find their life more meaningful. In addition to this, it is imperative that governments take strong action by encouraging younger demographics to take part in community activities such as volunteer campaigns. Ultimately, they would be socially engaged and the sense of isolation would be significantly erased. For instance, after joining non-profit organizations, some young wealthy businessmen in Vietnam realised their existence is meaningful as they find their mission of life to help people with impoverished circumstances.
In conclusion, the unhappiness of young successful people is a pressing issue driven by the shortage of goals and social connections. However, I am convinced that through setting new goals and engaging in coummunity services, this negative trend can be successfully reversed.
