There has been much controversy about whether the innovation of smartphones probably poses a threat to children. This essay will discuss both sides before concluding with my opinion.
On the one hand, the smartphone is considered a reason for some consequences that affect directly children. One of the most obvious disadvantages is that high-tech devices can weaken the concentration quality of kids. The reason is that children can be addicted to entertainment forms, namely games or social media, leading to the loss of time on unessential factors. Another harmful element is that smart phone have a negative impact on users’ health because eyes grazing excessively on the screen can be destroyed by UV light from smartphones. In short, using mobile phones can cause kids to get eye diseases and have limited opportunities to focus.
On the other hand, high-tech devices bring about several advantages that align with life’s improvement. Firstly, teenagers can be offered a better learning environment, because they can have access to information easily and gain a great deal of knowledge, via the internet. Therefore, students can broaden their horizons, which will enhance both their school performance and skills in life in a convenient way. Secondly, utilizing mobile phones is able to improve the relationship among individuals. This is because teens frequently contact with numerous residents all over the world through social media, such as Instagram, Facebook,….As a result, children can get support for their mood in a few essential situations and become accustomed to more like-minded friends. For instance, students heading overseas can straightforwardly communicate with their relatives, which significantly helps them when living in another country.
In conclusion, despite some disadvantages of mobile phones, I strongly believe that modern technology showcases a positive development to children due to its greater learning materials and stress management.
