In this context, communication skills always have played a vital role in the human society. Moreover, these are the things which have differentiated human from other creatures. The answer to this question depends on one’s perspectives, but I believe communication skills are the most essential characteristic of human beings for two reasons.
First and foremost, communication skills are integral factors for humans to survive this world. As long as we live in this world, we have to communicate with others in some form or another, whether through language, gestures, or even technology. If someone cannot communicate with others, he cannot work. That means that he cannot earn money, thus he cannot buy things which are essential to live, like food or even a house. In this regard, it is obvious that communication skills are crucial.
Secondly, communication skills are also important to achieve something and be successful. We all live in a highly socialized society, so it is not an exaggeration to say that communication skills are required to be a successful person on many occasions like business and schools. An open mind, a broad network, and a tolerant attitude towards other perspectives and cultures, these are the vital keys to be successful, and we can obtain these by good communication skills.
