Those who own mass media outlets also influence the audience’s mind and it is almost impossible to fix. I agree that those who own mass media outlets influence public thoughts, and it is extremely difficult to rectify this situation.
Firstly, I would say about general news that everybody has access to, using their devices. News was created for developing publicity knowledge about their homeland and what is going on in other countries. However, the government started to use media for personal gain and to persuade people that life in some countries is terrible and theirhomeland is the best place in the whole world. For example, I have a discussion on my history lesson and teacher has said that administration of the Soviet Union popularized opinions that the USA is a terrible country and every citizen desired to move to the Soviet Union. Although somebody was influenced by this propaganda another part of society wanted to move to the USA but they did not have an opportunity to do it. It was one of the clearest examples of propaganda.
Moreover, the Russian authorities which is the successor of the Soviet Union continues to create propaganda for convincing people that war is going on the right way, and most of the people believe that they are winning in this war and this conflict was entirely fair and lawful.
Therefore, the problem of fake news is almost impossible to fix because authority is using it for their personal gain, for persuading people of everything that they wanted. Mass media propaganda could disappear only in a one way when government understands that its propaganda does not work and nobody will watch the news.
In conclusion, unbiased information is becoming increasingly rare due to political manipulation and number of people who watch news strongly decrease.
