Nowadays, the popularity of e-books is increasing, while paper books are starting to become less preferable. I believe that the usage of e`version books is much more convenient as it allows people to read anywhere and save a trip to the library. However, it can lead to distraction from reading and makes it impossible to read without Internet connection.
On the one hand,with an introduction of e-books it has become possible to read anywhere. Printed books are heavy and take a lot of space, that make them inconvenient to carry all the time. For instance, digital books are suitable for people who wait for public transport or who are on their way to work or study. Moreover, there is no need to go to the library and it is not time-consuming. There is no doubt that the library is a wonderful place to visit, but going there might take much time, especially for students, who are loaded with tasks. Once e-book is available, reading capability is provided 24 hours.
On the other hand, reading online can be disturbing. Upcoming massages from various platforms can be the source of loosing concentration and deprive the process of pleasant reading. Furthermore, poor Internet connection or absence of it, make it impossible to read, which can lead to boredom and even lack of preparation for students in terms of studying.
In conclusion, the availability of e-books provide with opportunity to read in any wanted location and save time. But distracting factors and no Internet connection can make the process of reading unpleasant.
