Since e-books are becoming the most common feature of the reading form, that leads to decline in the number of the printed books. While some people accept this trend as a positive development whereas others do not agree with this ebooks trend. This essay discusses the pros and cons of the trend of e-books among people.
Firstly, e-books contain many benefits such as it is easy to carry while traveling. Paper books are too heavy in volume to carry when we have to move from here to there moverover, the hardcopies takes more spaces in comparison to e-books. Therefore, people accept the trend of e-books instead of the printed books. For example, the researchers found that around 80% students used e-books instead of paper books because they feel comfortable to carry just laptop, tab, and so on. When they have to travel or go to work.
Despite these advantage, using phones, laptops, tabs, etc., for study will distract the reader’s attention from the internet as we have many shown ads nowadays. Therefore, people love to use paper books for reading because it wouldn’t arise any distraction issues when they study from the printed books. For example, the survey from my recent project shows that 92% of university’s students were distracted by pop-up advertise on their device while reading therefore, they prefer the printed books.
To conclude, using e-books for reading can be advantageous of the advertises (ads) will not poped-up every time while reading via internet, otherwise, people will prefer the paper books instead of soft-copy text books as they don’t feel distraction from ads that comes in the middle of reading time.
