Band 5: With the rise of streaming services online, fewer people go to the movie theater to see film. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this trend? (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 2 Essay)

Nowadays, a significant proportion of people prefer staying at home and watching films online due to significant development of streaming service. There are some positive sides as a saving free time and watching wherever individual want; while, the major negative side of staying at home rather than going to cinema is to be unsocialized. This essay will explain both sides of this trend.

There are plenty numbers of advantages why people prefer watching movies at home. Firstly, when individual go to cinema, he or she spent some time to go to that place; however, when people prefer staying at home and watching some cartoons, TV shows at own apartment, individual can safe sufficiently from 20 to 60 minutes. Secondly, individual can open a laptop or smartphone wherever he stay. For instance, if your mom went to vacation to Egypt and she want to watch her favorite film, but she cannot have cinema nearby, she can use her smartphone, open Siri, search name of a film and watch it.

However, there is disadvantage as that a people stay turn down from community relationships. While individual go to the cinema, he or she can make some interaction together with her or his friends. So, when human speak with other people, human start to be slightly sociable and will start to have more positive filling rather than staying at home alone. For example, Ben had gone to the cinema with his boyfriends on the last week, and they have some fun together, but yesterday he decided to stay at her apartment and watch film, it was for him particularly boring time spending activity, and he felt miserable feeling.

In conclusion, there are sufficient positiveness and negativeness of watching movies at home than go to cinema. The biggest advantages are saving time and choosing convenient places for yourself; while, disadvantage of this trend is staying alone.
