Walt Disney was an American film producer, director, and animator, best known for creating some of the world’s most famous cartoon characters, including Mickey Mouse. He was born on December 5, 1901, in Chicago, Illinois. From a young age, Walt loved drawing and dreaming up stories.
In 1923, he started a small animation studio with his brother, Roy, in Hollywood. Their hard work paid off when they introduced Mickey Mouse in 1928, which became a huge success. Walt Disney didn’t stop there; he created more beloved characters like Donald Duck and Goofy, and produced the first-ever full-length animated movie, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” in 1937. This movie was a groundbreaking achievement and made Disney a household name.
Walt Disney also dreamed of creating a magical place where families could have fun together, which led to the opening of Disneyland in 1955. Disneyland became a world-famous theme park, and today, there are Disney parks in many countries.
Walt Disney passed away on December 15, 1966, but his legacy lives on through his movies, theme parks, and the characters that continue to bring joy to millions of people around the world.
