The world social is taken from socialize which means to do. Social Media is an industry which is used for many purposes. Individuals consume it for fun, enjoyment, relaxing, and for communication, while, some people use it differently from others, for them social media is a source of income. They earn from social media by posting and becoming famous around the world. Moreover, social media has pros and cons like every industry so my essay further discuss about them.
Social Media industry has a lot of advantages like other industries. One of advantages is, it has changed many humans’ lifestyle overnight by turning them from zero to hero. For example, my friend who lives in my neighborhood, uploads his videos on social media regularly. However, people make fun of him but he never quit it. One day his hard work paid off and his video went viral on all the platforms in Pakistan. Now he earns from social media by sharing his daily life and advertising products. In contrast, he is enjoying his dream life. Additionally, Students use it for academic purposes, learning new skills, and prepare for any kind of exam. I want to mention my example, when I completed my FSC in Computer Science from Government Degree College Dadu, On that time one of my biggest goals was to complete my graduation in Computer Science from University of Toronto which is located in Canada. So, I needed to get minimum 6.5 Bands overall in IELTS for getting admission in the University. I lived in Dadu district that time there was not any teacher for the preparation of IELTS test, so I decided to start preparation from youtube which is also platform of social media. It helps me more than any physical teacher can do. I got overall 8 Bands in IELTS with the help of social media and living my fantasy life in Canada with my family. Every thing has cons with pros social media also have some cons which I mentioned in next paragraph.
Social Media industry has also some disadvantages with advantages. Firstly, social media runs on the internet which costs too much for some people who are lower middle class. In addition to, there is always risk of being hacked or scammed mostly for them who don’t have proper knowledge about social media. For example nowadays one of news is trending on social media that hackers vanished bank account of some people in USA by hacking their social media accounts, the main reason behind that is not having proper knowledge about social media. In contrast, there is always risk of misuse data by someone else. Additionally, Social media restricted physical meetings. In this era, people communicate on the social media mostly this is enormous impact on the physical meetings. My essay further discuss about conclusion of advantages and disadvantages.
Overall, social media industry has enormous benefits as compared to disadvantages. With the help of social media individuals can teach and learn, can do online business, can earn, and socializing purposes. For example, before social media we don’t have resources to talk with each other urgently. We have to write letter then give someone and then the months after reply came, it was soo much disappointed if we compare that time with today’s social media industry, now we just have to type and one click can send it to other person no matter how far he is.
