In today’s digital age, social media has already become an integral part of daily life for millions worldwide. While social media offers undoubtedly numerous advantages, disadvantages sides also arise during using it. However, there are both positive and negative sides of it, and it this essay, I will discuss and try to draw some conclusions.

Let’s begin by looking at advantages of using social media in a daily life. One of the main advantages is that easy way to communicate. The majority of the people have opportunity to keep in touch with their relatives, family regardless of long distance. In addition, people can make new friends around the worldwide, which help to overcome shyness and character problems. Another positive might be that social media is an important source of information. News, global events, and educational content are available in real time. This helps individuals stay informed and broaden their knowledge.

Turning to the other side of the argument, one of the major disadvantages of using social media mostly is that time-consuming. Many people spend a lot of hours on social media without realization. For instance, individuals waste their time with scrolling through post, which reduces their productivity and distracts them from more important tasks. Another drawback could be that mental problems on mental health. The contents of social media probably have a negative impact on mental health. Constant comparing with other lead to stress, dissatisfaction on them, low self-esteem and depression, furthermore cyberbullying is becoming serious major problem among individuals, especially teenagers.

All things considered, social media is the main source in the developing world. Although it effects negatively to people with health problems and time, stay connected with others and other positive sides might outweigh the drawbacks.
