In today’s world, it is often argued whether old buildings should be protected or replaced with newer ones. Some individuals claim that old buildings are essential because of their historical and cultural value, while others believe that they should be replaced to support further development. From my perspective, it is more beneficial to replace old buildings with new ones.
On the one hand, some people believe that we should keep old buildings and maintain them. Firstly, preserving old buildings helps the younger generation understand the cultural value of their country and learn about its history in greater detail. For instance, all over the world schools organise visits and it helps students go through the history of a specific period without interrupting the educational process.
On the other hand, others believe that we should replace old buildings for faster development and variability of facilities. First of all, the modern technologies make easier saving history and building something new at the same time. For example, some european countries already provide a sucсessful program of renovating and keeping history and evidence shows that it benefits the both. From my perspective, it’s the best way to be highly productive, move our development forward and keep historical and cultural value.
In conclusion, although old buildings have significant historical and cultural value, I believe that replacing them with modern ones is a better solution for further development. Moreover, modern technologies can preserve historical information, allowing future generations to learn about the past without preventing progress.
