In this day and age, schools are teaching with more emphasis the arts since it has numerous advantages for the pupils. Yet it begs the question of which benefit is the most important, so let us shed some light on the matter.
First of all, the arts offers a wider perspective of the world. Not only does the arts give you the ability to analize and produce more art, but also the knowledge to understand other paintings or sculptures. At the same time, without realizing it, the children are learning a significant amount of different topics like history, mathematics and literature, given that the source of inspiration of the arts are all this different subjects. History and literature are for the theme of the picture, meanwhile, mathematics and algebra for the composition of the picture.
Secondly, every piece of art, it does not matter the shape of it shows us the real feelings and ideas of the artist. Rarely can you find a masterpiece that does not reassemble any of the ideas or feelings that the creator may felt in that moment. It gives the opportunity to express what it is going right now in your mind and materialize it. It could stand out and start the revolution you have been thinking all this time or maybe, some people could use it to symbolize their cause. Besides that, psychologist says that it have good results to express our emotions through the arts, given that it is a great tool which can help us to organize our minds and our emotions.
To conclude, I must say that both benefits are deeply important. But if I had to choose one, I would opt for the opportunity to express our issues. Apart from the fact that through this, you can learn an art such as music or painting, it also gives you the chance to express yourself being at the same time a therapeutic activitie.
