People have different views about zoos.While some claim that zoos are cruel for the animals,I would argue that they play a crucial role in keeping safe seldom-seen animal species.
On the one hand,there are various reasons why people hold the view that zoos may impact negatively for animals. One primary reason why wild animals suffer at zoos is lack of the area.Therefore,they suffer from stress and depression or even lose their sense of freedom that lead to dire consequences.Another significant reason why zoos might be risky for animals to stay in is lose of their original abilities. It means that animals lose their hunting and surviving skills at cages.For example,the parrots who adopted by people lost their ability to fly over the last century due to underdeveloped wing muscles.
In spite of these arguments,I believe that zoos are important for preserving at-risk animal species.One major factor is that zoos can create an opportunity for animals to give birth safely.They can increase the population of species facing extinction to a typical level of animals.
Furthermore,zoos can protect the animals from dying out.Safe provided environment for animals at zoos is perfect place from threats in the wild,such as poaching and habitat loss.Amur tiger,for instance,one of the rarest subspecies in the world maintained it’s genetic diversity and population by zoos.
In conclusion, although people may agree that zoos are not an ideal environment for some reasons,in my opinion, zoos provide a safe place from threats in the wild.
