There are some controversial arguements relating to schools’ problems. While it is believed that schools have deteriorated students in many ways due to their competitive environments, others argue that this special environment can motivate students to reach their future successes. This essay will feature an investigation in both views and present my own perspective.

On the one hand, recent times have witnessed that several painful deaths, especially teenagers and students, have happened due to the pressure from schools and parents. In fact, competitive environment means that students need to endure with invisible pressure from both teachers and friends. As a result, due to these problems, students have to put themselves into a hectic schedule, leading to an overload study process. This has not only negatively affected their exams’ results, but it has also deteriorated students’ well-beings. To illustrate, research has shown that several students have studied only to desire their parents and most of them find studying is very tedious and boring. Once they started to fully concentrate on studying, it will not possible for them to balance between schools and hobbies. Without entertainments, students can being depressed and suffer from several mental health problems, particularly autism.

On the other hand, many people, especially parents, think that competitive schools’ environments can set a chance for students to improve themselves. Due to this special environment, students can realize that they are just a small tiny sand in the big and immense ocean. By raising their awareness by themselves, students can be motivated to become a better person and they can improve their weaknesses. Thanks to the pressures from teachers and friends, they can depend on it as a source of motivation in order to enhance their knowledge and acquire themselves with new skills. Enduring with these pressure days, students can become a better version of themselves. In the long-term, once they had already coped with these problems, they will not scare to face with pressures from works or families.

In conclusion, I agree that competitive schools’ environments can contains some potential risks to students’ mental healths; however, there are some benefits that we should put into consideration. From my perspective, I think that schools should regulate, adjust and also implement their regulators in order to provide a suitable environments for students.
