The bar graph provided illustrates the variations in the predicted number of food production needed to fulfil the world populations’ needs in 2045. Overall, Africa is the continent with the highest predicted food needed in 2045.
To begin with, an additional of 400 million tons of food production will be needed to fulfil the needs of people in Africa in 2045, contributing to around 90% of the total number food production estimated for the whole world. It was followed by South America, which is the continent with the second largest food production needed in 2045, at around 50 tons.
Furthermore, Asia and North America will require similar additional number of food production in 2045, reaching around 20-25 tons of meals needed. However, the number of food production needed by people in Europe is the less among other continents, nearing to zero additional meals production needed. Therefore, the total food production needed for the whole world in 2045 is estimated at around 500 tons.
