The diagram illustrates how pulp and paper are produced. It is clear that the raw materials, logs from trees and purchased chips, will undergo chemical and mechanical processes in order to create paper.
In the first half, logs collected from trees are chipped by a chipper. Then, the chipped wood and purchased chips are fed into a digester to extract the pulp, which will undergo a two-stage cleaning later, including washing and screening, to remove impurities and contaminants.
In the second half, the cleaned pulps act as the key material for the manufacture of rough paper and refined paper. For rough paper, pulps that are dried with a specialist dryer will be directed toward a pulp reel before being cut using a pulp cutter. The final products are the paper bales used for the creation of boxes. For refined paper, an additional cleaning of the pulps is required at this stage. Subsequently, the cleaned pulps are dried by the same specialist dryer and are pressed with a pulp press and a paper press later, after which these pressed pulps will be dried again and rolled into sheets.
